About The Velveteen Rabbit by Margery Williams: In the nursery, only the toys that are old and wise truly understand what it means to be Real. The Velveteen Rabbit, a newcomer to the nursery, wants to know what being Real means. And so begins the Velveteen Rabbit’s journey towards becoming real – through the love of a child.
Complete unit includes downloadable and editable planning and teaching resources (pupil activity sheets, PowerPoint slides and text extracts) and moderation guidance.
Overview grid provides information on themes and topics, writing outcomes, curriculum coverage and week-by-week planning.
I found it effective for improving vocabulary as the book included lots of complex vocabulary that was new to the children, especially because the book was written a long time ago.
Read in to Writing provides units for Reception to Year 6.
