Read in to Writing

Transform your teaching of whole texts at just £30

Raise English attainment From Reception to  Year 6 with this new online series developed by teachers and literacy experts. By studying classic and contemporary children's literature, children will develop their reading skills and understanding helping them to approach their writing with confidence and greater depth.

How Read in to Writing works:

  • Read and Explore: You and your pupils will spend time delving into a book and looking at character, theme and plot in depth through discussion and drama.
  • Analyse: Children will look at vocabulary and grammar in context, helping them to expand their understanding and confidence
  • Reflect: They will then draw on what they have read and learnt to help plan what they are going to write
  • Write: Using their new skills and knowledge, children will be able to put pen to paper with confidence and write with purpose
