Wellbeing and Attitudes to Learning: Survey and Strategies was created in partnership with experts from Coventry University and Nottingham Trent University to create an evidence-based approach to help teachers improve their KS2 pupils' wellbeing and attitudes to learning. Research behind the tool Research shows that children with low levels of wellbeing struggle with school-based sources of stress (Scrimin, et al. 2016) and wellbeing is generally related to positive development (Sun, et al. 2016). There is a need to integrate approaches to pupil attainment with attention to pupils' mental health if achievement is to be improved (Allen, et al.) Meet our expert authors Professor Clare Wood Professor Clare Wood, Nottingham Trent University. Previously Director of the Centre for Research in Psychology, Behaviour and Achievement at Coventry University. Clare is concerned with understanding the factors that impact on educational achievement. Doctor Carlo Tramontano Doctor Carlo Tramontano, Coventry University. Carlo's most recent work focused on the study of how individual factors (e.g. self-efficacy) influence work stress and unethical behaviours at work. Doctor Helen Johnson Doctor Helen Johnson is a full time Educational Psychologist and previously worked as a Research Associate at the Faculty Research Centre for Advances in Behavioural Science at Coventry University. Helen's research is concerned with factors that can impact on children and young people's ability to succeed in education.
