Wellbeing activities for back to school

Settling into the new school environment may feel overwhelming for some pupils after months of home learning, so we've put together some resources to help pupils develop the skills they need to overcome any challenges they may face in their learning, as well as outside the classroom.

How to avoid feeling overwhelmed

Demonstrate how pupils can break down a new problem and use their curiosity to find a solution instead of worrying about failing.

Challenge mountains

By drawing the challenges they are facing as mountains, children can then visualise and discuss ways to overcome these difficulties.

Wish, Outcome, Obstacle, Plan

Help pupils to anticipate barriers to learning and develop effective strategies for overcoming new obstacles.

Overcoming fear

Pupils share how they feel when faced with a new challenge and what learning powers they use to overcome their fear.
