Impact Study Highlights

We asked 5 schools to respond to impact statements about Shine Targeted Interventions. All 5 ‘completely agreed’ that:

For the purpose for which it was designed, Shine meets the needs of their learners.
Following implementation of the learning sequence from Shine, pupils in the intervention groups showed progress in that area of learning.
They would recommend Shine interventions to other schools.

The ‘Prepare, Do, Review’ format of Shine worked well and saved us time. For the learning sequences, we found the teacher guidance clear and easy to follow. The lesson plans gave a good amount of detail and were great if handing over to a teaching assistant because they were able to run with it.

We all think very highly of the Shine Interventions in Reading and Maths. The Intervention reports from MARK made it really easy to identify the children for interventions at a glance. All teachers commented positively on the intervention resources being what they needed and children found the interventions engaging.
