Computing in the new National Curriculum - a free guide for primary schools

You may know that the new national curriculum, due to launch in September 2014, includes a brand-new programme of study for computing (previously called ICT).

Computing at School and NAACE, with the support of the Department for Education, have produced a guide to help your school deliver the new computing curriculum with confidence and enthusiasm.

The guide has been written to explain the aims and content of the programme of study in more detail, and to give school leaders expert guidance on what is expected and how best to plan for implementation of the curriculum from September 2014.

More support on getting started, and information on events in your area can be found at www.computingatschool.org.uk/primary.

You can also download a free digital version of the guide there too, which may be freely shared with colleagues.
