Brilliant Bloggers required

Do you have brilliant bloggers at your school - if so then we have the competition for you, with a fantastic prize!

We are looking for creative blog posts on any subject, these need to be uploaded onto this community area by Friday June 14th, the most creative entry as judged by the Switched on Team will win a days workshop with David Mitchell.

What is blogging?  Why blog?

The word derives from ‘web log’. A blog is a discussion or information website, consisting of articles or ‘posts’. They are free to use and anyone can have a blog. For children this means that their work need no longer be just for themselves; it can have a worldwide audience. Blogging and social networking greatly improve attitudes to writing and make children much more confident about their writing skills - so get blogging!

How to enter

  1. Download the free unit from Switched on ICT – We are bloggers. In the unit, children will create their own blog, with images, videos and hyperlinks.

  2. Post the resulting blogs in the Community area of our website to enter – and we’ll choose the most creative blog as our winner!

  3. Hurry – entries end Friday 14th June 2013.
