Reading Planet author and actress Nina Wadia recently appeared on Channel 4's Sunday Brunch talking about her book Bionic T1D. The book follows the story of Mav, a boy who discovers he has Type 1 Diabetes. Mav has to deal with many changes but his biggest fear is telling his friends all about his diabetes. Will they still want to hang out with him? Or will his new bionic superpowers make him even more special?
