A very brief overview of the new computing programme of study for primary teachers. Miles will discuss some of the reasons for the move from ICT to computing, and introduce the requirements of new programmes of study for Key Stage 1 and 2, which cover far more than just ‘coding’. He will look at simple, effective ways in which these can be met, building on teachers’ own knowledge of computing and using free web-based tools and readily available resources.
