Hear from our Sales Team on what their highlights for the past year are and what they are looking forward to most in the new school year...
Carley Ashton - Head of Sales, Primary
It has been an absolute joy to work with schools that have adopted the Rocket Phonics programme and extremely rewarding to hear their success stories. During the summer term I have been out visiting schools who have been sharing their thoughts on the impact that the programme is having on their children. It’s been wonderful to hear their feedback and to watch phonics lessons in action.
We have recently published all of the primary resources in our new platform, Boost, and I am looking forward to showcasing the new features and functionality to schools in the Autumn term. We also have a range of new Reading Planet KS2 books that are due to be published next term.
There have been some major changes for the primary team this year including the move away from the brand name Rising Stars. This new phase as Hodder Education is very exciting and it will make it much easier for teachers and pupils to access all resources published by Hodder.

In the last year it has been great to see how pupils’ attainment has been recovering from the challenges of the Pandemic years, as illustrated by our White Paper research and our work with the Nuffield project. It’s incredibly rewarding to know that our assessment and intervention resources have played a part in that. We look forward to doing more to support schools in closing the gaps and saving valuable teacher time next year.
Hodder Education has over 45 years’ experience in producing reliable, high quality standardised assessments which are widely used in thousands of primary and secondary schools. Having everything under one brand will make things clearer and simpler for our customers, and help to further strengthen our reputation.

As a secondary UK sales team, we have enjoyed being back on the road attending face to face appointments with you, where we have been able to discuss and provide solutions to suit your needs. It's been particularly great to see the success of our new KS3 ranges for history and religious education. We’re looking forward to seeing more of you in the new school year!
