From 2016, the Reception Baseline Assessment will be the only measure the Department for Education will use to assess the progress of children who enter your school in reception.
Schools should select their preferred provider of Reception Baseline Assessments by the end of April 2015.
Our sister company, Hodder Education, have developed an effective new Reception Baseline Assessment, which has been approved by the DfE.
Written by Early Years and Assessment specialists and linked to the learning and development requirements of the EYFS, this resource offers:
✓ paper-based assessments to measure the cusp of children’s understanding
✓ engaging full-colour stimuli for literacy and maths
✓ differentiated questions that cater for a wide ability range
✓ detailed analysis to inform planning and teaching.
The Hodder Reception Baseline Assessment includes an easy-to-follow Manual, Stimulus Books for literacy and maths, and a Teacher’s Script and Pupil Record Booklet. Having been extensively trialled with 2,000 children and early years practitioners, we are confident you will enjoy getting to know your reception children with this easy-to-administer resource.
The government will cover the full cost of the Hodder Reception Baseline Assessment for government-maintained schools! So, don’t forget to head over to Hodder Education’s website and place your order by 30 April!
