About this unitSoftware:

Geometric pieces of art and a Scratch computer program for drawing shapes
Have children in your class ever noticed the links between maths and art? Have they ever been struck by the patterns and symmetry in tiles, paving stones or bricks, or in Islamic art, which is highly geometric because it is forbidden to represent living beings in Islam? Do they know the work of Maurits Escher or Bridget Riley? In this unit, the children will use vector and turtle graphics to explore all these forms of art.
