Software: Software associated with a programmable toy

Hardware: Programmable toy, such as a Bee-Bot, Constructa-Bot or Roamer

Outcome:  A sequence of instructions that will move a programmable toy along a given route

Are the children in your class excited by the prospect of hunting for buried treasure? Do they enjoy reading adventure stories? In this unit, the children will instruct a programmable toy around a map to find buried treasure. They will start by inputting instructions one at a time and progress to programming short sequences of instructions.
