The Department for Education has released guidance for headteachers, teachers and teaching assistants on administering the 2016 key stage 2 national curriculum tests to pupils with hearing or visual impairments.
The guidance is designed to ensure that all pupils using modified large print, braille versions of the tests or who have a hearing impairment can access the tests properly and that they are not at a disadvantage. It includes information about:
- planning for the tests
- receiving test materials
- administering the tests
- sending the completed test scripts for marking.
Full guidance is available on the DfE website here.
