The DI Pi Mysteries combine high quality maths problems with an engrossing crime story to extend and enrich learning for your top maths sets and gifted pupils.
Each of the stand-alone mysteries is presented in a unique new ‘Challenge Booklet’ format – allowing them to be used flexibly in class or for homework and providing lots of opportunities for open-ended problem solving.
These new resources have been created in association with NACE: the National Association for Able Children in Education and are underpinned by the quality standard for gifted and talented teaching and learning.
All the investigations support the development of analysis, inference and evaluation skills and require students to:
- Draw conclusions and explain their reasoning
- Compare and evaluate approaches
- Communicate findings effectively
- Justify their methods and conclusions
